Role Description The Senior Audit Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR with work-from-home flexibility, responsible for leading and executing audit engagements. Day-to-day tasks include planning audit assignments, reviewing financial statements, testing internal controls, and performing detailed substantive procedures to ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards. The role involves supervising junior team members, providing guidance on audit methodologies, and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy. The Senior Audit Associate will also liaise with clients to understand their business, address audit findings, prepare audit reports, and support tax and advisory functions where needed. The position requires strong time management, clear communication, and a commitment to maintaining professional and ethical standards. Qualifications - Strong knowledge and practical experience with Financial Statements and Finance, including understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements. - Proficiency in Auditing and Financial Audits, with the ability to plan, execute, and review audit engagements independently. - Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify risks, and propose practical solutions. - Professional qualification such as CPA or equivalent, or progress toward such qualification. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Experience in an external audit role, preferably at senior or supervisory level. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. - High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines in a team-oriented environment. - Proficiency in common accounting and audit software; familiarity with Hong Kong financial reporting and tax regulations is an advantage.
