Job Description

Role Description The General Manager role is a part-time remote position focused on overseeing and sustaining the ongoing legacy and community of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. The General Manager will coordinate alumni engagement initiatives, manage relationships with industry partners, and support collaborative projects that highlight the Academy’s impact on global hospitality and tourism. Day-to-day tasks include planning virtual events and networking activities, supervising communication and digital content related to alumni and partner initiatives, and monitoring performance metrics for community engagement. The role also involves budget oversight for legacy programs, identifying new collaboration opportunities, and ensuring that operations align with the Academy’s historical standards of excellence and inclusivity. Qualifications - Leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing programs, teams, or communities within education, hospitality, or related sectors. - Stakeholder and relationship management skills, with a track record of working effectively with alumni, industry partners, and external organizations. - Strategic planning and project management skills to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that enhance community engagement and legacy preservation. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead remote teams, facilitate virtual events, and interact with diverse global stakeholders. - Digital literacy, including proficiency with online collaboration tools, CRM or community platforms, and basic data analysis for engagement metrics. - Experience in hospitality, tourism, education management, or a closely related field; familiarity with international accreditation and rankings is beneficial. - Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is an advantage. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrate sound judgment, and uphold inclusive, non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
