Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Dubai Salary: Based on experience Job Code: 360/001/494 Industry: Construction / Building Contracting Job Brief: Our client is hiring for a Quantity Surveyor job in Dubai to join their contracting team. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of GCC experience, preferably within the region's construction industry, with strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, project invoicing, variations, and claims management. The successful candidate will also be proficient in quantity take-offs, project costing, and cost monitoring throughout the project lifecycle. Job Responsibilities: - Handle post-contract and quantity surveying activities. - Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications. - Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates. - Analyse drawings and contract documents for project requirements. - Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports. - Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders. - Prepare contractual claims, Extensions of Time (EOT), and supporting documentation. - Verify subcontractor measurements, valuations, and payment certificates. - Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. - Track project expenditures against approved budgets. - Coordinate with the site team and procurement team regarding commercial matters. - Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and claims. - Prepare commercial reports and cost analyses. - Support management with project profitability assessments and forecasting. Job Requirements: - 4–5 years of GCC experience, preferably within the region's construction industry. - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. - Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, project invoicing, variations, and claims management. - Proficiency in quantity take-offs and project cost monitoring. - Proficiency in PlanSwift software or similar quantity take-off software. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Proficiency in AutoCAD. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
