About The Role The role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced professional to join YASREF’s dynamic team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met, and optimizing refinery processes to maximize efficiency and productivity. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, innovate operational procedures, and contribute to the company’s strategic objectives. You will be expected to lead initiatives that promote safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring the refinery operates smoothly within regulatory frameworks. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in refinery operations or a similar industrial environment is required, with demonstrated expertise in process optimization, safety management, and team leadership. Professional certifications such as API, NEBOSH, or equivalent are preferred. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and environmental compliance, along with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural work environment. Responsibilities - Oversee daily refinery operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with local and international regulations. - Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize refining processes and reduce costs. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements. - Lead safety initiatives and ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment. - Coordinate maintenance activities and manage emergency response plans to minimize downtime and operational risks. - Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions. - Ensure environmental standards are met and promote sustainable practices across all operations. - Prepare and present reports on operational performance, safety, and compliance to senior management. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the organization.
