Real Estate Development Director

Role Description The Real Estate Development Director is a part-time remote role responsible for leading the planning and execution of real estate initiatives that support OSP’s strategic objectives. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating potential development opportunities, coordinating feasibility studies, and overseeing due diligence activities related to land acquisition, zoning, and regulatory approvals. The director will develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with program goals and stakeholder expectations. This role collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and consultants to manage risk, optimize project value, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies. The director will also provide strategic guidance on portfolio diversification, long-term asset performance, and integration of sustainable practices into real estate projects. Qualifications - Demonstrated expertise in Real Estate Development, including site selection, concept planning, and portfolio strategy. - Strong experience conducting Feasibility Studies and Due Diligence to assess financial, legal, technical, and environmental aspects of projects. - Proven Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and risk management. - Proficiency in Budgeting, cost control, and financial modeling for development projects. - Experience with sustainable development practices and familiarity with energy-related or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial. - Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple initiatives, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects in line with strategic objectives.
