Role Description The Plumbing Engineer role at Space Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Plumbing Engineer will design, review, and implement plumbing systems for a variety of building projects, including water supply, drainage, and associated building services. Daily responsibilities include preparing and updating plumbing drawings and specifications, coordinating with MEP and civil teams, performing calculations, and ensuring compliance with local codes and project standards. The role involves site inspections, verification of installations against design, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting contractors with technical guidance. The Plumbing Engineer will also contribute to project planning, participate in coordination meetings, and support documentation and handover of completed systems. Qualifications - Candidates should possess strong skills in plumbing engineering, including Plumbing and Plumbing Design for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. - Candidates should possess knowledge of Water Supply systems and Building Services, including drainage, venting, and sanitary systems. - Candidates should possess experience with Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, collaborating with HVAC, electrical, and civil teams. - Candidates should possess proficiency in technical drawing and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and be able to interpret construction and MEP drawings. - Candidates should possess familiarity with Dubai and UAE building codes, standards, and regulations relevant to plumbing and MEP works. - Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality. - Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with site staff, consultants, and clients. - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications are an advantage. - Previous experience as a Plumbing Engineer or MEP Engineer in construction or facilities management projects in the GCC region is preferred.
