Job Description

Our client is a leading professional services organisation and is seeking a Legal Counsel (Consultant) to join its APAC legal team in Hong Kong. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to take on an in-house role supporting business operations across Greater China and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, technology, procurement, services, marketing and confidentiality agreements. - Provide practical and business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders on day-to-day commercial matters. - Support regional business initiatives and regulatory matters. - Identify and manage legal and contractual risks while enabling commercial objectives. - Liaise with external counsel where required. Requirements: - Qualified lawyer with approximately 5 to12 years' PQE (law firm and/or in-house experience). - Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential, including the ability to draft legal and commercial documents and conduct negotiations in Mandarin. - Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. - Ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal advice to business stakeholders. - Experience supporting Greater China business operations is highly desirable. - Based in and eligible to work in Hong Kong.
