Job Description

Role Description The Equipment Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for managing and coordinating all equipment and assets that support the ministry’s programs and operations. Day-to-day tasks include tracking inventory, maintaining accurate asset records, and ensuring equipment is properly allocated to teams and initiatives. The role involves scheduling maintenance, coordinating repairs, and overseeing the lifecycle of equipment to optimize reliability and cost-effectiveness. The Equipment Manager will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to procure equipment, negotiate service agreements, and support compliance with relevant government standards and policies. This position requires regular reporting on equipment status, forecasting needs based on upcoming projects, and contributing to process improvements in asset management. Qualifications - Demonstrated skills in asset and inventory management, including tracking, documentation, and lifecycle planning. - Experience coordinating equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships, ideally within a government or large organizational setting. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple requests and priorities in a remote, part-time environment. - Proficiency with digital tools and systems for asset tracking, spreadsheets, and basic reporting; familiarity with ERP or asset management software is an advantage. - Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and engage with external partners in a clear, professional manner. - Understanding of or interest in public sector operations and the societal role of family-focused initiatives in the UAE. - Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. - Previous experience in equipment management, facilities support, logistics, or operations is highly beneficial.
