We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of financial operations while supporting business growth.The Role We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, maintain compliance, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable working across multiple business functions in a dynamic technology company.Key Responsibilities - Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities. - Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. - Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. - Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts. - Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense claims. - Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections. - Assist in preparing monthly management reports and financial statements. - Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. - Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. - Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with tax filings. - Support external audits and provide required documentation. - Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. - Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE. - Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS). - Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Zoho Books, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar). - Experience preparing financial reports and performing month-end close. - Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis). - Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Professional fluency in English. Preferred Qualifications - Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (completed or in progress). - Experience working in a technology, SaaS, AI, or high-growth startup environment. - Experience supporting audits and financial compliance. - Familiarity with automation tools and modern finance systems.
