See https://lfxdigital.com/ Job Title: Head of Risk Reporting to: President of Air8 Location: Singapore As part of the global Risk, Credit & Compliance team, the Head of Risk will drive risk policy setup, credit underwriting excellence, and data-driven risk innovation—including risk modelling—to enable sustainable business growth. The candidate will combine deep knowledge of supply chain financing products and strong underwriting skills with advanced risk modelling capabilities to deliver high-quality, efficient credit decisions. Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of client profiles, supply chain operations, and funding pain points across markets. Key Responsibilities - Support the establishment of Air8’s overall credit risk management framework and ongoing monitoring of its implementation to ensure strong risk performance. - Underwrite risk for Asian suppliers and international buyers, and continuously improve underwriting quality and efficiency by leveraging tech tools, alternative data, and innovative methodologies. - Establish a comprehensive risk management process and implement it digitally for admission, rating, credit limit assignment, and monitoring in collaboration with Product and Tech teams. - Lead the development of credit risk models and decisioning frameworks, including the use of alternative data attributes, risk segmentation, and model-driven underwriting enhancements. - Explore and identify external data sources across different markets to enrich rating models and strengthen credit assessment. - Engage actively with external stakeholders, including funding partners and insurers, to gain buy-in for the risk framework and facilitate smooth asset distribution. - Deliver portfolio-level and country-level risk reporting, and manage ad hoc projects for specific markets or risk topics. - Coordinate risk project implementation by mobilizing internal stakeholders and working closely with BD and Product teams to improve process effectiveness and efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related discipline. - 10+ years of credit underwriting, risk strategy, or risk modelling experience in trade finance, fintech, or a related financial services environment. - Strong experience in credit risk modelling, model development, model monitoring, or model governance is highly preferred. - Experience in cross-border receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain finance, or SME risk coverage is an advantage. - Strong structured problem-solving ability with a data-driven and analytical mindset. - Self-driven, resilient, able to work under pressure, and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment. - Strong business English and Mandarin communication skills.
