Senior Engineer, Structural Detail Design

Job Summary Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule. Key Responsibilities - Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role. - Review external designer’s pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists. Ensure all information required for detail design development is available. - Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval. - Perform FE analysis using FEMAP or similar FE software is an advantage. - Review project team members drawings or documents prior submission. - Able to perform rule based structural calculations and review 3rd party FE analyses. - Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output. - Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed. Key Requirements - Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Structure newbuilding engineering design. - Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or simillar/ FE software (advantage) Education Bachelors in Engineering or Architecture
