Investment & Project Finance Lead – UAEN

We are currently hiring two UAEN professionals for the position of Lead – Commercial & Project Finance (Investment & Capital Structure) to join one of our key clients, a leading government-sector organization operating within the Energy & Infrastructure industry in Abu Dhabi. Position: Lead – Commercial & Project Finance (Investment & Capital Structure) Industry: Energy & Infrastructure Location: Abu Dhabi, Onsite Key Responsibilities Investment Analysis & Commercial Evaluation - Support the financial and commercial evaluation of new investments and existing asset opportunities - Assess investment business cases, including project economics, value creation potential, key risks, and strategic considerations - Review financial models and key assumptions relating to revenues, costs, financing structures, and investment returns - Support scenario, sensitivity, and risk analysis to facilitate investment decision-making Transaction Execution & Due Diligence - Support transaction execution across greenfield developments, refinancing, asset extensions, acquisitions, divestments, and other investment opportunities - Participate in financial and commercial due diligence processes - Coordinate transaction activities across internal teams, external advisors, lenders, investors, and other counterparties - Review commercial and financial documentation and ensure alignment with approved investment cases Project Finance & Capital Structuring - Support the assessment and optimization of project financing and capital structures - Evaluate debt and equity funding options, refinancing opportunities, financing profiles, and cost of capital - Support financing processes and engagement with banks, lenders, advisors, and investors - Review the financial implications of different funding and transaction structures Stakeholder Management - Work closely with internal Commercial, Finance, Legal, Technical, and Asset Management teams - Engage with external stakeholders including lenders, advisors, investors, consultants, and project counterparties - Support cross-functional teams in evaluating financial and non-financial project considerations - Communicate financial and commercial analysis clearly to senior stakeholders Qualifications & Experience - UAEN – mandatory - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline - Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience - Experience or strong exposure to investment analysis, project finance, corporate finance, transaction execution, M&A, infrastructure investment, or commercial finance - Previous exposure to energy, infrastructure, large-scale projects, investment entities, financial institutions, or other asset-intensive environments is highly desirable - Understanding of IRR, NPV, DCF, valuation, sensitivities, and investment returns is preferred - CFA qualification or progress toward the CFA, including CFA Level I, MBA, CPA, CMA, or similar qualifications would be advantageous
