Executive/Senior Engineer (Façade and Forensic Engineering Department)

[What the role is] The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment. [What you will be working on] Responsibilities You will contribute to safeguarding Singapore's built environment by supporting the regulation of building maintenance and safety standards. Your responsibilities include: - Administering building inspection regimes - Processing inspection reports and compliance documentation - Supporting enforcement actions against unauthorised building structures - Handling public enquiries and feedback on building safety matters - Investigating building incidents - Contributing to policy development initiatives for building maintenance frameworks As part of a dynamic organisation, you will also have the opportunity to work on other aspects of building control. [What we are looking for] - A degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, preferably a practising Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore. Candidates who are not registered PEs but are preparing for registration would also be considered - Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, inspection, or architectural finishes, OR at least 4 years of experience in structural design and analysis of buildings - Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills - Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills - Proficiency in both verbal and written communication Successful candidates will be offered contract employment.
