Senior Scientist / Scientist, Hub of the Future, IAIC

Job Summary We are seeking a Scientist to develop advanced modelling, simulation, and optimization solutions for complex operational systems, particularly in the aviation domain. Responsibilities - Develop mathematical, simulation, and optimization models. - Build simulation frameworks and digital twins for operational analysis and performance evaluation. - Conduct scenario studies, forecasting, and system performance assessments. - Analyze operational data and validate modelling results. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions. Requirements - PhD in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or related quantitative disciplines. Preferred Skills - Experience in modelling, simulation, optimization, or operations research. - Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, Java, C++, or similar languages. - Experience with optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools, or SCIP. - Experience with simulation platforms such as AnyLogic, SimPy, Arena, MATLAB/Simulink, or RePast. - Knowledge of aviation, aerospace, transportation, or operational systems is advantageous but not required. Personal Attributes - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. - Curious, adaptable, and motivated to solve complex real-world problems.
