Role Description The Casual Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The person in this role prepares and cooks menu items to standard, assists in planning daily specials, and ensures that dishes are presented consistently and attractively. Daily responsibilities include organizing mise en place, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, following food safety and hygiene regulations, and collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service demands. The Casual Chef may support inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock, and help minimize waste through efficient preparation. This role also involves working closely with other chefs and service staff to deliver a high-quality dining experience for guests. Qualifications - Strong culinary skills, including preparation, cooking techniques, and plating of a variety of dishes. - Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen cleanliness procedures. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment and manage time during busy service. - Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with chefs and front-of-house staff. - Prior experience as a chef or cook in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality venues. - Relevant culinary education or professional training is an advantage. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality dishes and a positive guest experience.
