Job Description

Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architect to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing architectural projects from design development through construction and handover, ensuring that design intent, technical requirements, quality standards and project timelines are achieved. The role requires strong architectural and technical knowledge, practical UAE project experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities. Key Responsibilities - Develop, review and coordinate architectural designs, drawings and technical documentation. - Manage architectural requirements from design development through construction and project handover. - Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP and other engineering disciplines. - Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples and technical documentation. - Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings and specifications. - Identify and resolve architectural and technical issues arising during construction. - Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to support timely project delivery. - Prepare and coordinate architectural submissions required for approvals from Dubai Municipality and other relevant authorities. - Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities to address technical comments and facilitate timely approvals. - Ensure designs and architectural works comply with UAE building regulations, authority requirements and applicable standards. - Support the selection and approval of materials and finishes, taking into consideration design intent, quality, practicality and cost. - Attend design coordination, project and site meetings as required. - Monitor project progress and identify potential design, quality or coordination issues. - Support snagging, final inspections and project handover. - Maintain accurate project drawings, records, approvals and technical documentation. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognised university. - Minimum 5–7 years of relevant architectural experience, with solid UAE experience. - Proven experience in architectural design, technical coordination and construction/site execution. - Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality requirements, UAE building regulations and authority approval processes. - Experience preparing and coordinating architectural submissions and responding to authority comments. - Experience dealing with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, DDA, Trakhees and other relevant authorities is highly desirable. - G+4, G+12 or Unlimited Dubai Municipality approval/qualification would be an advantage but is not mandatory. - Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials, finishes and project execution. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of SketchUp and other relevant architectural software is an advantage. - Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural and MEP drawings. - Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to manage priorities and work effectively across multiple projects. - UAE driving licence is an advantage.
