Role Description The Head Waiter role at Cafe Lilou Al Ghalia Trading Company is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh. The Head Waiter oversees the dining floor, coordinates table assignments, and ensures guests are greeted promptly and served efficiently. Responsibilities include leading the service team, training and guiding wait staff, monitoring food and beverage quality, and handling guest inquiries or complaints in a professional manner. The role involves close collaboration with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service, attention to hygiene and safety standards, and support with daily opening and closing procedures. The Head Waiter is expected to maintain high customer service standards and contribute to an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment. Qualifications - Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage guest interactions professionally and resolve issues effectively. - Knowledge of food & beverage offerings and food service operations, including menu items, serving protocols, and basic hygiene standards. - Effective communication skills for coordinating with guests, service staff, and kitchen teams. - Basic understanding of cooking and food preparation processes to liaise accurately with the kitchen when needed. - Previous experience in a supervisory or lead waiter role in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment. - Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, and stand for extended periods. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. - Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
