Health Safety Environment Officer

Job Description: HSE Officer We’re Hiring! We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team for Saudi Aramco–approved and others Potential clients’ projects, ensuring high-quality construction, safety, and compliance with engineering standards. Role Purpose Responsible for implementing and monitoring project HSE requirements and promoting safe execution of construction and industrial activities in accordance with company, client, and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Conduct routine HSE inspections and site observations. • Monitor compliance with project HSE plans and procedures. • Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings. • Review/monitor JSA and risk-assessment implementation. • Monitor PPE compliance and safe-working practices. • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and initiate corrective actions. • Monitor Permit-to-Work compliance. • Support incident/near-miss reporting and investigation. • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and statistics. • Monitor lifting, excavation, work-at-height, confined-space, hot-work, and other high-risk activities. • Support emergency-response arrangements and drills. • Coordinate HSE matters with supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives. • Promote continuous improvement in site safety performance. Qualifications & Experience • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of relevant HSE experience preferred. • Industrial/EPC/construction experience required. • Saudi Arabia project experience preferred. Preferred Certifications • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent. • IOSH certification. • OSHA training. • First Aid/CPR. • Client-specific HSE certifications where applicable. Technical Competencies • Risk assessment/JSA. • PTW systems. • Incident reporting and investigation. • Construction safety. • Working at height. • Confined-space safety. • Excavation and lifting safety. • Emergency response. • HSE inspections and reporting. GENERAL RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS Candidates should demonstrate: • Relevant academic/technical qualifications for the position. • Relevant industrial, construction, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or EPC experience. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams. • Strong commitment to safety, quality, cost, and schedule. • Professional accountability and ability to work in a developing project organization. • Previous Saudi Arabia experience is preferred. • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or other major Saudi industrial clients is an advantage where relevant to the position. • English communication capability appropriate to the position.
