Project Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards. - Prepare, review, and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction and fit-out projects. - Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare cost estimates. - Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. - Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations. - Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation. - Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction. - Measure completed work and verify contractor payment applications. - Track material usage and ensure timely procurement of required materials. - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. - Identify project risks and recommend practical solutions to avoid delays. - Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and updated regularly. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. - 3 years of experience in construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects. Strong hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and quantity take-offs. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. - Experience managing site execution and coordinating multiple contractors. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Project or Primavera P6. - Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards. - Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in commercial, residential, or mixed-use development projects. - Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and variation order management. - Knowledge of value engineering and project cost optimization. - UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage. - Candidate must already be based in Abu Dhabi.
