Rooms Controller

Job Purpose: - Assign rooms and coordinate closely with Housekeeping to ensure accurate and timely room status updates. - Monitor and control arrival and departure rooms. - Manage and monitor the VICAS system and action trace reports. - Process online payments and audit profile updates. - Review routing instructions, group blocks, routings, cashiering comments, and room allocations. - Prepare room allocations for upselling opportunities. - Balance room inventory and coordinate with Reservations regarding room availability. - Monitor OOS (Out of Service) and OOO (Out of Order) room status. - Monitor queue rooms and coordinate with guests once rooms are ready. - Prepare room allocations for next-day early arrivals, pre-registered bookings, connecting rooms, and special guest requests. - Review room discrepancies and same-day due-outs, coordinating with guests and arranging extensions when required. - Maintain accurate room status and ensure smooth communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and other relevant departments. Qualifications & Experience: - Previous experience in a 5-star luxury hotel, with solid knowledge of Front Office operations. - Strong experience and knowledge of OPERA PMS. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - People-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills. - A proactive team player committed to delivering a seamless guest experience.
