Surveying Technician

Role Description This full-time, on-site Surveying Technician role at zworld is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Surveying Technician will perform field measurements, collect spatial data, and assist in executing topographic, land, and building surveys for various projects. Responsibilities include setting up and operating surveying instruments, recording accurate site observations, and supporting ALTA and boundary surveys as required. The role also involves preparing basic survey sketches, organizing field notes, collaborating with surveyors and engineers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. The technician will regularly travel to project sites within the region and maintain surveying equipment in good working condition. Qualifications - Demonstrated skills in Land Surveying and Field Work for infrastructure, construction, or development projects. - Experience with Topographic Surveys for terrain mapping and site planning. - Knowledge of ALTA Surveys and related documentation standards for property and boundary assessments. - Practical experience in Building Surveying for structural layouts, floor plans, and as-built documentation. - Familiarity with modern surveying instruments (total stations, GPS/GNSS, levels) and basic data collection software. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans with strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work on-site in varying outdoor conditions. - Relevant technical diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering technology, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
