Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bartender role based in HK at the bourke's. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following recipes and company standards, while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. Daily tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, recommending menu items, and ensuring responsible service of alcohol. The Bartender will handle cash and payment transactions accurately, support opening and closing procedures, restock supplies, and coordinate with the food and beverage team to deliver timely service. The role also involves maintaining high customer service standards, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations, and contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment. Qualifications - Strong customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and professional guest experience. - Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members. - Knowledge of food & beverage service, including basic menu understanding and pairing recommendations. - Proficiency in bartending, including drink preparation, cocktail techniques, and responsible alcohol service. - Accurate cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems. - Prior experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred. - Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours, and manage busy service periods. - Understanding of local health, safety, and hygiene standards; relevant certifications are an advantage. - Reliability, teamwork, and a professional appearance and attitude.
