Job Description
Purpose: - Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture. - Own delivery of complex features end to end, from technical design through production. - Design and optimize database interactions, integrations, and inter-service communication. - Build and operate event-driven flows using Kafka and enterprise messaging. - Ensure solutions meet security, performance, availability, and maintainability requirements. - Apply secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, encryption, and sensitive data handling. - Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the squad. - Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement durable fixes. - Contribute to technical design decisions and application architecture. - Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and observability on OpenShift/Kubernetes. - Identify technical debt and drive improvements to design and code quality. - Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the chapter.
