Food Services Supervisor

Position Information Food and Beverage and Culinary role at the St. Regis Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The position is full time, non-management, and not remote. Core Responsibilities - Ensure staff work as a team to provide optimal service and meet guest needs. - Inspect staff grooming and uniforms and correct deficiencies. - Complete opening and closing tasks, including supply organization, cleaning, and securing areas. - Inspect storage areas for organization, cleanliness, and FIFO compliance. - Complete scheduled inventories and order or replenish required supplies. - Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being in dining areas. - Prepare maintenance work orders for repairs. - Assist management with hiring, training, organization, evaluation, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee development. - Serve as a role model and first contact for fair treatment and open-door processes. Safety and Service Standards - Follow company safety policies, report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries, and complete safety training and certifications. - Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. - Protect company information and property and support colleagues with dignity and respect. - Welcome and recognize guests, communicate professionally, handle calls appropriately, and respond to employee concerns. - Support team goals, meet quality assurance standards, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors. Desirable Qualifications - A secondary school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable. - At least two years of related work experience is desirable. - At least one year of supervisory experience is desirable. - No license or certification is required. Physical Requirements - Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds or the equivalent without assistance. - Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the full work shift. - Read and visually verify information, inspect tools and equipment, and manipulate objects using fine-motor coordination. - Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, kneel, move through confined or elevated spaces, and use service stairs or ramps.
