Role Description The House Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A highly prestigious private family in Dubai is seeking an exceptional Senior House Manager to oversee the day-to-day hospitality and operational standards of a private residence and associated private office environment. This is a highly confidential and exceptionally demanding appointment for an individual who understands that excellence in a private household goes far beyond conventional hospitality management. The successful candidate will be expected to bring the standards, discipline, service culture, and operational excellence of world-class luxury hospitality, combined with the discretion, maturity, flexibility, and personal judgment required when working directly within a private family environment. This position is suited to someone who has operated at a senior level within luxury hotels, private estates, palaces, UHNW households, private offices, or similarly exclusive environments. This is not a conventional hotel management position. The client has exceptionally high standards and expects every aspect of the operation to be handled with professionalism, precision, discretion, and attention to detail. The successful candidate must have an impeccable attitude and professional character. Respect, humility, emotional intelligence, composure, and absolute commitment to service are essential. There is zero tolerance for poor attitude, arrogance, disrespect, unnecessary confrontation, carelessness, or a lack of discretion. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to work within a horizontal organizational structure, communicates appropriately across all levels, respects confidentiality and hierarchy, and can take responsibility without requiring constant supervision. Above all, the individual must understand the difference between managing a property and looking after a private home. Qualifications Key Responsibilities - Take overall responsibility for the hospitality and service standards of the private residence and associated private office. - Ensure the property operates seamlessly, discreetly, and to an exceptional standard always. - Lead and coordinate household, hospitality, administrative, and support teams. - Establish and maintain impeccable standards of service, presentation, grooming, cleanliness, and conduct. - Anticipate the requirements of the principal, family members, and guests and ensure needs are addressed proactively. - Oversee VIP and private guest experiences with the highest level of discretion and attention to detail. - Coordinate household operations, maintenance, vendors, contractors, and external service providers. - Ensure all operational matters are handled efficiently and with minimal disruption to the family. - Recruit, train, develop, and manage staff where required. - Monitor staff performance, behavior, punctuality, appearance, and adherence to household protocols. - Manage private functions, dinners, events, and special occasions to an exceptional hospitality standard. - Establish and maintain appropriate household procedures, protocols, and service manuals. - Identify potential issues before they arise and resolve matters discreetly and efficiently. - Maintain absolute confidentiality concerning the principal, family, guests, business affairs, schedules, and private matters. - Work collaboratively across the organization while maintaining appropriate boundaries and professional discretion. - Represent the household with exceptional professionalism when dealing with external parties. Essential Experience The successful candidate should demonstrate: - Strong senior-level experience in luxury hotel management or high-end hospitality. - Experience working within a horizontal organizational structure. - Proven experience in private residences, private offices, UHNW households, luxury estates, palaces, or comparable environments. - Strong understanding of luxury service and guest experience. - Experience managing diverse teams in demanding, high-expectation environments. - A proven ability to work directly with principals, VIPs, senior executives, or high-profile clients. - Excellent understanding of household etiquette, luxury hospitality, and service protocols. - Strong operational and organizational capabilities. - Exceptional attention to detail. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. - Absolute discretion and confidentiality. - Impeccable personal presentation and professional manners.
