Senior Insurance Officer - FGA

Key Responsibilities - Assess, evaluate, and underwrite new and renewal FGA risks within delegated authority limits - Analyze financial statements, risk profiles, contractual terms, and market conditions to determine acceptable risk and pricing - Prepare underwriting proposals, terms, conditions, and recommendations in line with company policies and regulatory requirements - Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and exposure accumulations, recommending corrective actions where required - Support business development by engaging with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to grow profitable business - Review and negotiate policy wordings, endorsements, and special terms - Ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines, reinsurance requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks - Mentor and provide technical support to Junior and Intermediate Underwriters - Participate in audits, peer reviews, and underwriting committee discussions as required - Contribute to process improvements, product development, and underwriting best practices Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field - Minimum 5 years of experience in Casualty and Financial Lines - Proven experience in FGA or similar specialty lines - Professional insurance qualification such as ACII, CPCU, or equivalent is preferred - Familiarity with local insurance regulations and UAE market practices - Experience working with underwriting systems and reporting tools - Strong analytical and underwriting skills with the ability to assess complex risks - Ability to adapt effectively to the company environment - Good computer literacy; relevant certification would be an advantage
