Position Title: Tailor / Assembly Specialist Department: Production Reports To: Pattern Master / Master Cutter Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Factory/Workshop) Job Type: Full-time Job Purpose The Tailor transforms technical patterns provided by the Pattern Master into high-quality, durable B2B uniforms, with a primary focus on healthcare apparel (scrubs, lab coats) and corporate/industrial uniforms. This role demands precise machine operation, consistency in mass production, and strict adherence to technical garment specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Garment Assembly: Stitch, assemble, and finish healthcare and corporate uniforms based on approved patterns and tech packs provided by the Pattern Master. - Collaboration with Pattern Master: Work closely with the Pattern Master to analyze mock-ups, refine samples, and adjust fit parameters before final mass production. - Industrial Machine Operation: Operate industrial sewing machines, overlockers, buttonhole machines, and specialized finishing equipment safely and efficiently. - Quality & Specification Control: Ensure all seam allowances, stitch counts per inch, and pocket placements precisely match the approved production layout. - Material Handling: Handle specialized B2B textiles properly, including antimicrobial fabrics, fluid-resistant healthcare weaves, and heavy-duty industrial cottons. - Alterations & Replication: Execute accurate adjustments on sizing prototypes and ensure duplicate garments match the master sample identically. - Workplace Maintenance: Maintain clean workspace environments and perform routine daily maintenance (oiling, needle replacements) on assigned machinery. Requirements & Qualifications - Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional tailoring experience, ideally in a commercial B2B uniform factory or mass-production garment setting within the UAE. - Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in interpreting garment layouts and handling industrial sewing equipment. Experience with healthcare uniforms is highly preferred. - Teamwork: Proven track record of working seamlessly under a Pattern Master or Master Cutter to hit strict production deadlines. - Language: Basic proficiency in English, Hindi, or Urdu to ensure clear communication within the production floor team. - Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high-quality stitch work consistently across large batches of identical uniforms.
