Role Description The Data Architect will design, implement, and optimize enterprise data architectures that support AI-driven and digital solutions for Photon’s global clients. This full-time, on-site role based in Singapore involves collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to define data models, integration patterns, and data governance standards. The role includes evaluating and selecting data platforms and tools, designing data pipelines and storage solutions, and ensuring data quality, security, and scalability across cloud and hybrid environments. The Data Architect will create technical documentation, provide guidance on data best practices, and participate in architectural reviews to align data solutions with overall technology strategy. The position also involves mentoring team members, troubleshooting complex data issues, and continuously assessing new technologies to improve Photon’s data capabilities. Qualifications - Strong experience in data modeling and database design for transactional and analytical systems. - Proficiency with modern data platforms and technologies (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud data services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Hands-on expertise in data integration and ETL/ELT tools, APIs, and real-time data streaming frameworks. - Knowledge of data governance, data security, privacy, and compliance practices, including metadata management and master data management. - Ability to design scalable, high-performance architectures that support AI, analytics, and reporting workloads. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. - Experience in enterprise or solution architecture within large or global organizations is an advantage. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
