Logistics Director

Role Description This part-time remote Logistics Director role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable movement of goods. The Logistics Director will design and optimize logistics processes, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and monitor performance metrics to align operations with business goals for small and medium-sized projects. Daily responsibilities include planning and managing inventory flows, supervising warehouse activities, coordinating procurement and transportation schedules, and resolving operational issues. The role also involves developing logistics policies, implementing best practices and tools, managing vendor relationships, and preparing reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications - Candidates should possess strong skills in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management to oversee end-to-end product flow and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. - Candidates should possess solid experience in Operations Management and Warehouse Operations to manage daily logistics activities, inventory control, and fulfillment processes. - Candidates should possess capabilities in Procurement to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and support efficient sourcing and replenishment. - Candidates should possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting. - Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, proficiency with logistics or ERP software, and relevant experience in e-commerce or small and medium-sized enterprises. - Candidates should ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience.
