Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer – AWS & Azure : Hong Kong | Electronic Trading | Financial Markets

Our client is a leading global trading organisation with a significant presence across Asia, and we are exclusively supporting them in the search for a high-calibre Senior SRE / Cloud Engineer to join their Hong Kong technology team. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud engineering, site reliability and high-performance trading technology, supporting highly critical platforms where reliability, resilience and speed are fundamental. You will work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams, quant developers and trading technology specialists to build and operate robust cloud platforms across AWS and Azure. The Role As an SRE / Cloud Engineer, you will take ownership of the reliability, scalability and operational performance of critical trading and technology platforms. You will be involved in: - Designing, building and operating highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure - Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform - Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes - Driving observability across infrastructure and applications, including metrics, logging and distributed tracing - Improving platform reliability, resilience, capacity and disaster recovery - Automating operational processes and eliminating repetitive manual tasks - Supporting production systems in a highly demanding, time-sensitive trading environment - Participating in incident response, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement - Working with engineering teams to embed SRE principles throughout the development lifecycle - Helping establish and maintain strong standards around security, resilience and cloud governance - Contributing to the evolution of the firm's cloud strategy and engineering practices What We're Looking For We are interested in speaking with engineers who have a strong background in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering, ideally within financial services, trading or another high-availability technology environment. You should have strong experience with: - AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms - Linux and networking fundamentals - Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code technology - Kubernetes / containerised environments - CI/CD and modern software delivery practices - Python, Go, Bash or another scripting/programming language - Monitoring and observability platforms - Production incident management and troubleshooting - Automation and configuration management - High-availability and resilient distributed systems - Experience within electronic trading, investment banking, hedge funds, exchanges or other low-latency environments would be highly advantageous.
